CARWASH was founded in 1989 where the aim was to provide a club space where people from all walks of life could mix in a fun, friendly atmosphere fuelled by the very best party music. For the past twenty-nine years we have been hosting parties across the United Kingdom, in Paris, Ibiza, St. Tropez, Dubai, Miami, Vienna, Geneva, Lausanne, Marseille, Brussels and numerous holiday destinations within France, Spain, Cyprus, Greece, Egypt and Turkey. We tour as far afield as Russia, Columbia, Singapore and Australia. We are probably most famous for our ’29-year residency in London’ which has taken place every Saturday night and an extremely popular 11-year weekly residency in Paris.

Having hosted over 6000 parties worldwide and attracted 3 million customers, we have won multiple awards with ‘Best Club Night’ at British Entertainment and Dance Industry Awards (BEDA) in 1998 alongside being winner of the Disco International award for ‘Best Club’. Time Out magazine describes Carwash as the ‘Ace of Clubs.’ Clubbing bible Mixmag calls Carwash ‘London’s Legendary Disco’.

  • Carwash was the first to provide and enforce a strict dress code policy; a practice which saw us famously cutting London’s Leicester Square into two with queues extending across the square and around the block. At one point, there were up to 25 copycat clubs in the UK trying to emulate the Carwash formula. But it is Carwash and Carwash alone which has prevailed and stood the test of time. Three successful decades in London’s club land is a remarkable achievement, a testament to the ideas of the promoters and the energy of the Carwash crew.

    Carwash took off in 1989 and provided a fun party atmosphere creating an involving experience with wall to wall dressed up clubbers, stunning decor and tip top pop music. This was found to be what our clubbers wanted and from this we have evolved to provide tables, drinks, food and service to make a visit to Carwash an experience to remember. At the same time as maintaining our core values we regularly morph our music policy per regional tastes and preferences; whether that be chic Parisian disco or upbeat Asian V-Pop, K-Pop or J-Pop.

    Not happy with just being a hangout of pop stars past and present – with celebrities ranging from Robbie Williams, Shakira, Jamiroquai to Kylie & Danii Minogue – and with a lot of tenacity and grit, we aim to keep at the forefront of the party scene. When planning a night out or a big
celebration, people want to do so with a club they can trust. Our good reputation comes from excellent service.

    It is hard to find anybody who was clubbing in London in the 1990s who did not at least once go to the famous Carwash. Our publicity stunts have been on regional news, major nation-wide French, German, Austrian, Swiss, Italian, Brazilian, Japanese & SE Asian TV channels. We’ve had radio broadcasts on Radio 1, Kiss FM, Capital 95.8, GLR, Heart, Essex, Galaxy, CORE & other regional radio stations.

    There have been several articles in most of the UK daily papers including The Times, The Telegraph, Independent, Guardian, The Mirror, The Sun, The Evening Standard and The Mail. We have been in the press spotlight on a number of occasions: A full-page picture in Time Out with the headline ‘Ace Of Clubs’ alongside countless and frequent 1/2 and 1/4 page editorial, a prime feature on The Time Out website, a full page in London Metro, two Evening Standard main paper full page articles, 3 full editorials in ‘Hot Tickets’ (the Evening Standard), London At Large, The Source. There have been interviews about disco and the influence of Carwash on music and fashion in “The Gospel According To Clubland” documentary

    We have had press features including the front cover of ‘Nine To Five’, a 3 page spread in Vox magazine, Touch, a 3 page spread in the UK Club Guide, double spread in the Ibiza Club Guide, Guest List and editorials in The Big Issue, 19 Magazine, TFI London, Leap Magazine and Blue.
