Calvin De Kline
As the longest standing resident at Carwash what Calvin De Kline doesn’t know about disco simply isn’t worth knowing about. A true ‘master at work’ and Carwash legend past and present, Calvin regularly delves deep into his DJ crate box to throw down stomping funk tunes and groovy beats to keep clubbers spinning around and around.
Cornelius materialised in London as a fresh faced 18 year old and after a chance meeting in a South London bar with both Calvin DeKline and Leroi Brown, he began to take his pure and unadulterated love for music to London’s dancefloors, cutting his teeth at the legendary CARWASH during its residency at Propaganda.
Having recently appeared in places such as Big Chill Festival, Cafe De Paris, Jazz Cafe and Pacha, he is now back where it all began, armed with a killer record collection and a licence to funk. When not appearing at Carwash, he can be found prowling the city streets for new beats. He is currently in the process of writing and recording an album with the band Loft Daddy.
