Biography: Jon – X
DJ Jon-X (AKA The Morrighan) is a dynamic, inspirational, international DJ / recording artist / songwriter / producer who lives and works from his recording studio in North London. In 1994,while residing as the main room DJ at London's Heaven nightclub, Honathan simultaneously started up "One Upon A Time in Heaven" with the world's most famous internation DJs Sasha & John Dig weed. Timeout Magazine voted it 'Best Club in London' that X mas. Therefore after, Jon continued to DJ or launch nights in nearly every London venue including;MOS, Limelight, The Cross, Handover Grand,Brixton Academy & many Po-na-na venues.
Following The Morrighan's first No. 1 club hit in 1996 (FFRR Records) which Jonahthan produced, wrote and performed on Crescendo's Are You Out There', the band then toured and signed to Serious Records achieving another No. 1 club UK hit with 'Remember'. Soon after, The Morrighan wrote the epic trance them song 'Follow Me' for the blockbuster film 'Kevin &Perry Go Large' which triggered an invitation by Sonique to play at her club night in Amnesia , Ibiza that Summber. More recently, Jon has also played DC-10 Manumission,Cream and Ibiza Rocks. To date, The Morrighan have sold over a 120,000 copies of their two albums 'One Hour ON Earth' and ' Live From Brixton Academy' now available via their website. Jon is currently writing and recording songs for the next album and continues to take bookings.
